OIIR Welcome > Login to Site > Select workshop > Confirmation Introduction In an effort to create a more informed campus community, the University requires all first year students to attend , an innovative an innovative workshop that explores some of the foundational skills needed to collaborate, learn, and work in diverse environments during your years at Illinois and beyond. All first-year students will be required to attend one of these hour-long workshops, which will be held in locations across campus from late January through early March. I-Connect is sponsored by the Office of Inclusion and Intercultural Relations within the Division of Student Affairs. Registration We offer I-Connect workshops in a variety of locations on campus for your convenience. Please remember that this is a mandatory program and you are required to attend during the first 8 weeks of the Spring semester; please register for, or reschedule, your I-Connect workshop here. Thank you for your cooperation with this important program. Myth: How can it be rape if they knew each other? -- Fact: The vast majority of rapes on campus involve people who are acquainted. In a recent survey at UIUC, only 2.6% of the women who had experienced sexual assault described the offender as a "stranger."
